Michael Dawisha is the Chief Information Officer for the division of Residential and Hospitality Services. Michael is responsible for the Information Services department and for crafting IT strategy for the division. RHS's IS department performs a robust set of services for the division's diverse needs. Spartan Cash, the official campus debit card, is managed by the Transaction Management Team, along with access to dining rooms, IM facilities and some MSU sports events. The creation of the Project Management Office has since led to the successful completion of numerous complex projects. A strong tie created with RHS’ Marketing and Communications department has enabled an effective Web Development program. The division's infrastructure is also performing an elaborate consolidation plan that will make it more nimble and stable in providing IT resources to the division. The IS department has embarked on a plan to create a 'World-Class IT Operation.' This audacious goal, inspired by James Collins and Jerry Porras's Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies, gives the department a strategic and emotionally compelling vision for a future the staff is committed to achieving.
